Here’s a short post on recipe ideas for Passover, which begins on April 19th, and continues through April 25th.
Passover is a holy Jewish holiday and festival that lasts 7 days and commemorates the story of the Exodus – the Jews escaping slavery in Egypt. Because the Jews had to leave hastily, they did not have time to wait for their bread to leaven (or rise). To symbolize the Exodus, only unleavened baked goods are consumed, like matzo, which symbolizes unleavened bread.
