
Waffle cones are fun but when you want something a little different use my waffle cone recipe to make ice cream tacos. When the waffle comes out of the iron, rest it over a cutting board edge or wedge it between two cups or other objects until it cools and sets into the taco shape (see the photo below).
You can eat these straight up with ice cream or go a step further with melted chocolate and crushed toasted peanuts, or your personal favorites. They're great as a quick snack straight from the freezer.
There are a few ways to approach the chocolate dip. You can coat the inside and edges of the shell before adding the ice cream, or add the ice cream and then roll the top and edges of the shell in the melted chocolate. Or, do both.
