Buffalo Cauliflower Florets & Herb Ranch Dressing

Sep 5, 2023 (Leave a Comment)

Buffalo Cauliflower Florets & Ranch There are many versions of this type of recipe across the internet, and most use a commercial hot sauce. I avoid popular processed hot sauces like Frank's and Tabasco, and instead I rely on basic ingredients for delicious results.

I present two options: red hot pepper sauce and smoked paprika sauce. Both recipes are the same, except for the sauce. The benefit is that you can control how hot the sauce is when using the smoked paprika sauce, adding a small amount of cayenne pepper (or leave it out). I like the traditional hot sauce style, but for those who prefer a less spicy alternative or can't handle large amounts of hot pepper (like myself), try the smoked paprika version. For hot sauce, there are some really great fermented hot sauce recipes around as well as small batch hot sauce you can buy in local markets.

Buffalo cauliflower florets would not be complete without an herb ranch dressing. I have a traditional ranch dressing in my first cookbook that is my go-to ranch dressing and loved by many. This new version is based on it, except that I replace the mayonnaise with cashew cream. If you prefer, you can just replace the cashew cream with mayonnaise.

This recipe makes a great snack, side dish, or light meal. Add some cut veggies and you're good to go. Another nice thing, you can make these ahead and reheat them. Enjoy!
